Athletic Lab Coaching Academy CHPC L2 Course in Montenegro

Athletic Lab Coaching Academy, held a Level 2 Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) course on the third weekend of May. The course was held in Podgorica. Podgorica is the capital and largest city in Montenegro. The course marks the third in the past year in the country. Previously, Long Term Athletic Development and Speed & Power specialist courses were held in Montenegro. The course was lead by Athletic Lab’s Dr. Mike Young and hosted by Coach Nemanja Marković. Nemanja is a graduate of the Athletic Lab Coaching Mentorship program and an accomplished performance coach in professional basketball. Thirty coaches from seven different countries were represented at the first Level 2 Montenegro course. The course was the first Level 2 of 2024 and marked the third in-person course of the year. Previous 2024 in-person courses were held in Brazil (Level 1) and the USA (Level 3). The CHPC Level 1 certification is available as an online course to coaches anywhere in the world.

The Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) is the 3 tier certification course of the newly formed Athletic Lab Academy. The CHPC sets the standard for high performance coaching education and provides an in-depth understanding of the Athletic Lab training philosophy. The CHPC covers both the underlying sports science and practical application by combining academic and experiential learning . The course is modeled after our on-site coaching mentorship program. Athletic Lab’s coaching education initiatives are recognized around the world. We provide online and in-person lectures and seminars around the world.

Thousands of coaches from over 50 countries are graduates of the Athletic Lab Coaching Academy. Our courses have been delivered to many of the top coaches in the world including the entire physical preparation staffs of Palmeiras Soccer Club, Vitoria de Guimarães Soccer Club, and Coritiba Foot Ball Club.

Each phase builds on the previous one with more advanced concepts and applications. Graduates of the recent 3 day CHPC Level 2 course are eligible to attend the third phase of the course. The third phase is a truly immersive learning experience designed for Elite Sport practitioners. We host the third phase on-site at the Athletic Lab headquarters in North Carolina, USA.
