Athletic Lab, in partnership with ELITE Training, recently completed our Phase 1 international mentorship in Curitiba, Brazil. The private course was held for the performance staff of Brazilian soccer club Coritiba Foot Ball Club. The club is commonly known as Coxa and was founded in 1909 – making it the oldest soccer club in the state Paran .
ELITE Training is one of the largest coaching education companies in the world and Athletic Lab has been working with the company since 2017 to deliver our 3 phase mentorship course in Brazil and Portugal. The course is designed to provide an immersive understanding of the Athletic Lab training philosophy including the underlying sports science and practical applications. Each phase of the course is a mixture of lecture and hands-on learning aimed at preparing sport performance and fitness coaches to excel. Athletic Lab is known around the world for our coaching education initiatives both through the lectures and seminars our coaches have given around the world and our online presence.
The latest course marks our third with a top tier international soccer club. Our international mentorship course was first taught to the staff of Palmeiras Soccer Club in Brazil. In late 2019, the course was delivered to the performance staff of Vit ria de Guimar es Soccer club in Portugal.
Graduates of the recent 4 day course are eligible to attend the second and third phases of the course. Each phase builds on the previous one with more advanced concepts and applications. The third phase is a truly immersive experience that is held on-site at the Athletic Lab headquarters in North Carolina, USA.
