The Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team recently returned from Columbus, OH where they competed at the 2023 North American Open Series 1. The meet was the first USA Weightlifting American Open Series Meet of the 2023 calendar year. The meet took place at the Arnold Sports Festival. The festival is the largest fitness and strength event in the world. The North American Open Series brings together many of the top Weightlifters in the country. The team boasted six Top 10 finishes including 12 Medals.

American Open Series:

  • Lize Buitendach Placed 4th overall in the 59kg Youth Division:
    • Snatch: 49kg (4th) / C&J: 62kg (5th) / Total: 111kg (4th)
  • Eva Young Swept Silver in the 55kg Youth Division: 🥈🥈🥈
    • Snatch: 53kg (Silver) / C&J: 70kg (Silver) / Total: 123kg (Silver)
  • Drew Daner Swept Gold in the 67kg Youth Division: 🥇🥇🥇
    • Snatch 84kg (Gold) / C&J: 105kg (Gold) / Total: 189kg (Gold)
  • Raj Singh competed in the 81kg Open Division posting a total of 207kg:
    • Snatch: 96kg/ C&J: 111kg / Total: 207kg

  • Calvin Miller Competed in the 89kg Open Division with a total of 213kg:

  • Sarah Emmert Competed in the 71kg Open Division with a total of 152kg:

  • Rebecca Rivera Placed 4th overall in the 87kg Masters Division:
