Name: Meredith Worrell

What city were you born in? Burlington, NC

What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)? Craig & I both are full-time real estate investors. We buy houses and typically fix them up for resell; however, we also wholesale to other investors and plan on keeping more properties as rentals. I love what I do – bringing outdated homes back to life has always been my dream. I also enjoy spending time with friends & family, going to the beach, and baking/cooking/drinking wine :)

What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? Favorites are back squats and clean & jerk. Lease favorite exercises are lunges and wall walks.

What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training?

When I first started at AL 10 years ago, I didn’t know much about working out… I don’t think I’d ever run a mile and I most certainly had never done a pull up. The coaches and programming have pushed me to challenge myself in ways I never knew possible. Running a half-marathon, competing in an Olympic weightlifting meet, and getting back into shape during the healthy living challenges are just a few of the moments I look back on and think, “wow I can’t believe I did that!”

What motivates you in your training? I’m motivated by the amazing Athletic Lab community. I’m inspired by all the incredible members who continuously show up and give it all they have.

We’re so grateful for all the relationships we’ve built over the last decade at AL!

Name: Craig Worrell

What city were you born in? Fayetteville NC

What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)? We invest in real estate for income. In our spare time, we enjoy cooking (and eating), spending time with the people we love, and being productive.

What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? My favorite exercise is deadlifts. My least favorite is clusters.

What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training? My greatest accomplishment since I joined athletic lab is that I am now able to get below parallel on my squats. I spent five years stretching before I could get there. When I first started at Athletic Lab 10 years ago, I couldn’t even get to parallel. I was finally able to get into the 1000 lb club last year with a full depth squat.

What motivates you in your training? I am motivated by all of my classmates at 6am. They all work so hard. It is fun and very challenging.
