Athletic Lab athletes Jordan Lappin and Grace Nelson of Cardinals Gibbons High School finished off an outstanding lacrosse season by winning the 4A state championship this past weekend. This state title is their second in a row.

Grace, who is committed to Ohio State University, said that she knew from our first game this season that we wanted to make it back to states and win for the second time, and as a team we had never worked harder for that.

Jordan and Grace were the two top goal scorers for the team this past season with 87 and 44 goals respectively. Jordan, who will be playing for Boston College in the fall, said that while the games look
easy sometimes, there was a lot of hard work put in on and off the field from each member of our team that made the repeat possible.
