Name: Angelo Olcese
What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)? I am a software engineer during the day, and a semi-professional Ultimate Frisbee player  in the evenings. I captain both the professional team The Carolina Flyers as well as a club team called Raleigh Durham United. The rest of my time is spent supporting my wife, Alex, as she trains to become a thoracic surgeon.
What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? Favorite: Power Cleans. Least Favorite: Rear foot elevated split squats.

What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training? In the gym, I improved my RSI metric 30+% (I never previously identified as a springy athlete). On the field, I got 4 blocks in one game (nearly doubling my career blocks).

What motivates you in your training? Watching my wife’s work ethic in achieving her dreams pushes me to work harder at my own goals. Being better for my teammates so that they can rely on me in big moments.
