Heather ZimmermanName: Heather Zimmerman

What city were you born in? Raleigh, NC

What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)? I have practiced dentistry at Axiom Dentistry in Clayton for the past 7 years. Outside of work, I love to play ultimate frisbee and devote a lot of my time to practicing/playing tournaments in the sport. I also enjoy playing PC video games with my fiancé and spending time with my two kitties, Calvin and Hobbes.

What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? Favorite exercise is deadlifts, least favorite exercise is rear elevated split squats.

What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training? Staying competitive in Ultimate Frisbee as I get older. Strength training at Athletic Lab with the various trainers that I’ve worked with has helped me to maintain both my speed and strength for Ultimate Frisbee which helps me continue to compete at a high level.

What motivates you in your training? All of the trainers I’ve worked with at Athletic Lab have driven me to improve and get stronger. The stronger and faster I feel, the more I’m motivated to continue to workout and drive to be better.
