Morgan joins the Athletic Lab staff as a Sport Performance Coach after completing our Coaches Apprenticeship program in 2015. Originally from Maine, Morgan moved down south to earn her BS in exercise science at Elon University. During her time at Elon, she was the captain of the women’s club basketball team and was a member of the national leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa. While in high school, Morgan earned all-conference recognition and MVP for her basketball team, but then decided to turn down the opportunity to play in college to move further away, live abroad, and step outside her comfort zone. Prior to joining Athletic Lab, Morgan was a physical therapy aide in the triangle and a biomechanics intern at the Duke University K-Lab, where she published motion analysis research on wearable technology. Morgan is a NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer and plans to test for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in the next month.

Morgan is a great addition to our staff. Morgan has already spent a lot of time learning and coaching at Athletic Lab and she’s going to be a great coach for us. With her strong background in the sports sciences and experience as an athlete and coaching athletes she has everything we look for.
