Athletic Lab, in partnership with One Fitness Weekend and Club América held a Level 1 Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) workshop in Mexico City, Mexico in late October of 2024. Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the largest city in the North America. The Mexico City CHPC Level 1 course was our first ever in Latin America and the fifth in-person Athletic Lab Coaching Academy Course of 2024.

One Fitness Weekend is one of the largest coaching education companies in Latin America. The company previously hosted Athletic Lab’s Mike Young to headline the company’s annual conference.

Club América is the most successful soccer club in Mexican history. The team competes in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football and was founded in 1916.

About our Courses

The Athletic Lab Coaching Academy offers the 3 tier Certified High Performance Coach course. The CHPC sets the standard for high performance coaching education and provides an in-depth understanding of the Athletic Lab training philosophy. The CHPC combines academic and experiential learning. We cover the underlying sports science and its practical application for coaches. The course is modeled after our on-site coaching mentorship program. Athletic Lab’s coaching education initiatives are recognized around the world. We provide online and in-person lectures and seminars around the world.

Many of the top coaches in the world have taken the course including the entire physical preparation staffs of Club América, São Paulo FC, Palmeiras Soccer Club and Vitoria de Guimarães Soccer Club.

Each level of our 3 tier curriculum builds on the previous one with more advanced concepts and applications. Graduates of the recent 3 day CHPC Level 1 course are eligible to attend the second phase of the course. The third and final phase is an immersive learning experience designed for Elite Sport practitioners. Athletic Lab hosts the third phase on-site at our headquarters in North Carolina, USA.
