Name: Linden Martin
What city were you born in? I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina
What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)? Most of my day is dedicated to school. I am a freshman at Panther Creek High School and my academics are my main focus in my life. Outside of school, my time is spent on soccer training. I am on a highly competitive team so it demands that I stay in shape.
What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? Athletic Lab has many different workouts, so picking one is challenging. However, If I had to choose a favorite, It would be back squats because its form is easier to master and it’s one of my better lifts. On the other hand, my least favorite workout is single leg RDLs, because balancing is tedious and my balance is keeping me from going up in weight.
What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training? I feel that the greatest thing that I have accomplished is my high vertical jump. Recently, I’ve noticed that I have a higher jump than most kids my age. This really shows the effect of working at this gym.
What motivates you in your training? The biggest thing for me is seeing results. Over the last two years, I’ve noticed big improvements in my strength and endurance. These results are the main thing that keeps me motivated.
