Seth CatalahanaName: Seth Catalahana

What city were you born in? I was born in Livingston, New Jersey. When I was three years old my family and I moved to Charlotte. We lived there for eight years. Then in 2014 we moved to Cary.

What do you do when you’re not training at Athletic Lab (occupation, hobbies, etc)?  I’m a full-time student studying meteorology and atmospheric science. When I’m not at school or at the gym, I enjoy listening to music and traveling to new places when I can. I am very excited about my upcoming trip to Portugal!

What’s your favorite exercise? Least favorite? My favorite exercise is the bench press because it helps to build my upper body strength. My least favorite is the bear crawl because I still need to work on my core strength.

What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment since you started training? Building strength and putting on muscle mass. When I started, I was barely 110 pounds wet. Now, I’m within my BMI for my size. It’s given me confidence and greater ability to do the things I want to do.

What motivates you in your training? Seeing results is a big driver in my motivation. When you accomplish something you didn’t think you could do before, it encourages you not to set limitations on yourself.
