addieAthletic Lab boasts a long history of successfully developing soccer players from high school through the elite professional. Not only was Athletic Lab the training center for the Carolina Railhawks during their two most successful years in club history but Athletic Lab founder Mike Young has also served as the Fitness Coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS, regularly assists members of the US National Team and was recently an invited guest of Real Madrid. In addition to Coach Young, Athletic Lab Coach John Grace served as Mike’s assistant for one season in Vancouver and Coach Stephanie Shaw played for and won a conference championship for the ECU Pirates.
There are currently over 2 dozen Division 1 scholarship soccer players and over 30 players in the MLS who have trained with Athletic Lab.
Here are some of our most recent soccer success stories:
  • Athletic Lab athlete Addie Galloway’s Triangle FCA U19 Club recently played in the Disney Soccer Showcase where her team placed 2nd. Addie is committed to the University of Kentucky for next year.
  • Athletic Lab athlete Remi Schwartz was the only NC player selected to participate in a National ODP camp in Florida.
  • Athletic Lab athlete Abby Staker committed to play for ACC powerhouse Duke University.
