Josh Colley places 8th at USA Track & Field Indoor Championships

Athletic Lab Track & Field Club's Josh Colley recently represented the club at the USA Track & Field Indoor National Championships. Colley placed 8th in the long jump. It was his third time competing in a national championship event. Colley qualified for the final of the championships on his 2nd attempt of the meet but was unfortunately unable to finish the competition due to an injury. His best mark was 7.36 m (24'1.75"). The event marked the 5th straight indoor championships with at least one Athletic Lab Track & Field Club (ALTC) member. The Athletic Lab Track Club is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Track & Field club for elite & emerging elite athletes. The Athletic Lab Track Club has a long history of success at the elite level having produced multiple national champions and international competitors. This is particularly true in the jumping and multi-events (decathlon / heptathlon). Athletic Lab Track Club boasts 5 athletes who have won National Championships or Masters National Championships and 1 who has won a Masters World Championship in these events. Member of the Month: Amanda Pasko

Athletic Lab is one of the premier fitness and performance training centers in the country. We have a vibrant and diverse community ranging from fitness enthusiasts looking to get in the best shape of their lives to elite professional athletes. The commonality across our diverse member base is that they are hard-working and goal-oriented. Each month we highlight one or more of our members in our member of the month feature. For the month of October we've selected Amanda Pasko. Amanda is a member of the Athletic Lab Track Club - a 501-C3 non-profit coached by Mike Young and operating out of Athletic Lab with the goal of supporting post-collegiate emerging and emerging Olympic sport athletes. Amanda recently won her second World Championship of the year in an ultra multi-event. Her performance in the 20-event icosathlon at the world championships in Delft, Netherlands added to her previous world championship win in the indoor tetradecathlon from earlier in 2022. Jack Flood’s 3rd place finish at Thorpe Cup leads Athletic Lab Track Club

Three members of the Athletic Lab Track & Field Club recently represented Team USA at the prestigious Thorpe Cup international event. Decathletes Will Eggers, Jack Flood and Dylan Cooper all competed in the dual meet against Germany. Jack Flood finished with 7,977 points to lead the way for the group with a 3rd place finish. The meet represented his second in the USA uniform and his first time on the podium at an international event. Dylan Cooper finished with 7,858 points and a 6th place finish overall.  Eggers finished in 11th place overall. The group also had 4 event wins between them: High Jump - Jack Flood (2.08m) 110m High Hurdles - Jack Flood (13.99) Discus - Dylan Cooper (46.94m) Pole Vault - Dylan Cooper (4.71m) The decathlon is a two day, 10 event men's outdoor track and field event. On Day 1, athletes contest the 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m. On Day 2, athletes contest the 110m high hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500m. The event is considered one of the best tests of all-around athleticism in sport and the Olympic champion in the event is crowned the "World's Greatest Athlete." The three athletes were selected for the team as a result of there placements at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Combined Events National Championships. The club previously qualified athletes for the Thorpe Cup in 2011 (Edward Broadbent) and 2019 (Jack Flood). The 2022 Thorpe Cup represents the 7th time Athletic Lab Track Club athletes have represented the US in international competitions. Athletic Lab Track Club qualifies 3 for Team USA

The Athletic Lab Track & Field Club recently qualified 3 athletes to represent Team USA. The team sent Will Eggers, Jack Flood and Dylan Cooper to the USA Track & Field Outdoor Combined Events National Championships. The event took place in Fayetteville, AR. All 3 athletes competed in the decathlon. The decathlon is a two day, 10 event men's outdoor track and field event. On Day 1, athletes contest the 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m. On Day 2, athletes contest the 110m high hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500m. The event is considered one of the best tests of all-around athleticism in sport and the Olympic champion in the event is crowned the "World's Greatest Athlete." The 2022 Outdoor National Championships represents the 9th time the club has qualified multiple athletes to compete. It is the 7th time, the club has had multiple athletes compete in a multi-event. Earlier in the year, the Athletic Lab Track Club qualified 4 athletes to compete in the indoor heptathlon. At the indoor championships, the team placed 3rd, 4th, 8th and 9th lead by Jack Flood. At the recent USA Track & Field Outdoor Combined Events National Championships, Dylan Cooper lead the team with a 6th place finish followed by Jack Flood and Will Eggers in 7th and 9th respectively. As a result of their placings, all 3 athletes will represent Team USA at the Thorpe Cup later this year.
