Athletic Lab, in partnership with ELITE Training, held a Level 1 Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) workshop in São Paulo, Brazil in mid May of 2026. São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil. The course fourth in-person Athletic Lab Coaching Academy Course of 2026. Almost 50 coaches attended the course. Athletic Lab has collaborated with ELITE Training since 2017. ELITE Training is one of the largest coaching education companies in the world. Together the companies have brought our three phase course to Portugal and Brazil. The Athletic Lab Coaching Academy offers the 3 tier Certified High Performance Coach course.The CHPC sets the standard for high performance coaching education and provides an in-depth understanding of the Athletic Lab training philosophy. The CHPC combines academic and experiential learning. We cover the underlying sports science and its practical application for coaches.The course is modeled after our on-site coaching mentorship program. CHPC Level 1 and 2 in Istanbul, Turkey

Athletic Lab Coaching Academy recently provided a Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) combined Level 1 and Level 2 course in Istanbul, Turkey. The course was attended by 45 top level coaches from across the region. Coaches had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of high performance sport science and applied coaching over an intensive four-day experience from April 30-May 3.​ Event overview Athletic Lab delivered the CHPC Level 1 and 2 course in partnership with Quadroathletics. The course took place in Istanbul, the largest city in Europe and a growing hub for high performance sport and coaching education.​The four day event was hosted by Deuce Performance Lab. Over four days, coaches progressed through both the CHPC Level 1 and 2 curriculum to explore advanced topics in biomechanics, strength and power development, conditioning, and planning for high performance environments. Inside the CHPC Level 1 Across the first two days, attendees took part in lectures and hands-on practical sessions on the field and in the weight room. The in-person delivery mirrored the online CHPC Level 1 curriculum while adding live coaching labs and direct feedback from Dr. Young to deepen real-world application. Mike Young presents at NSCA North Carolina State Clinic

Athletic Lab's Mike Young, PhD, was an invited speaker at the 2026 North Carolina National Strength and Conditioning Association Conference. The conference took place in Wilmington, NC on April 18, 2026. The conference featured speakers from around the region and was attended by almost 200 coaches, sport scientists and physiotherapists. Mike provided a workshop titled "Training True Agility: Progressing Beyond Cones into Chaos." The presentation marks the 7th presentation Mike has delivered for the NSCA. Mike is Athletic Lab's Director of Performance and also serves as the Senior Director of Performance and Science for the North Carolina Courage. The NSCA is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning and related sport science professions around the world. The seminar focused on how to apply evidence-based speed development methods in real-world training settings, with practical takeaways for track athletes, team sport athletes, and fitness enthusiasts. Dr. Young is a globally recognized coach and sport scientist who has worked with Olympic athletes, professional clubs, and national teams, and regularly presents on speed development and long-term athletic development to organizations around the world. His teaching style blends sports science, coaching theory, and live demonstration. The goal is for attendees to leave with a clear framework and actionable drills for immediate implementation. CHPC Level 1 with Mike Young in Santiago, Chile

Athletic Lab Coaching Academy recently hosted a Certified High Performance Coach (CHPC) Level 1 course with Dr. Mike Young in Santiago, Chile, giving coaches in the region direct access to world-class high performance education.
