In fact, a study revealed that world class cricket players are as 'fit" as their counterparts in rugby on measures of explosive power and aerobic endurance capacity. Running Between the Wickets One of the most physically demanding aspects of cricket is the constant running between the wickets. Batsmen need to sprint short distances repeatedly, relying on agility, speed, and quick decision-making. This explosive burst of energy places significant strain on a player's lower body muscles especially the hamstrings. Fielding Fielding in cricket is as crucial as batting or bowling. Players need to cover large areas of the field, diving to stop boundaries and sprinting to chase the ball. The constant changes in direction, sudden accelerations, and decelerations demand exceptional agility and reflexes. Additionally, the ability to throw accurately and with power requires strong core and shoulder muscles. Bowling Fast bowlers, in particular, undergo immense physical stress during a match. Core Cricket Academy partners with Athletic Lab

Athletic Lab is excited to announce a partnership with the newly formed Core Cricket Academy. Athletic Lab will provide sports performance and injury prevention training to over 100 of their elite and developmental athletes. Core Cricket Academy provides an integrated grassroots program for cricket development in America. Core Cricket has the goal of revolutionizing youth cricket development and making cricket a mainstream sport in the US. The organization has brought on a host of international experts, coaches, and high performance staff to provide an unparalleled training experience. Athletic Lab is widely known for our team training services. We have supported teams locally, nationally and internationally. The North Carolina Courage, North Carolina Football Club, the Carolina Junior Hurricanes, Accelerator School, and Marlins of Raleigh swim club are amongst the more easily recognizable local teams that train with Athletic Lab. At the national and international level, Athletic Lab has assisted 4 World Cup Rugby teams, 2 English Premiership football clubs, and some of the largest universities in the US. We're super excited to work with Core Cricket Academy. From our first talks, it was obvious that the newly formed academy was serious about creating a world-class experience.
