Athletic Lab hosts 2023 North Carolina NSCA Conference
Athletic Lab proudly hosted the 2023 National Strength & Conditioning Association's (NSCA) North Carolina state conference. The event featured nine expert speakers from around the country and was attended by 180 coaches from the North Carolina and neighboring states. The NSCA was founded in 1978. Athletic Lab's Mike Young has served as a state advisory board member of the NSCA since 2022. The organization is widely considered the largest and most respected organization in the profession. The NSCA is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning and related sport science professions around the world. The NSCA exists to empower a community of professionals to maximize their impact through disseminating evidence-based knowledge and its practical application by offering industry-leading certifications, research journals, career development services, networking opportunities, and continuing education. The NSCA community is composed of more than 60,000 members and certified professionals throughout the world who further industry standards as researchers, educators, strength and conditioning coaches, performance and sport scientists, personal trainers, tactical professionals, and other related roles. -National Strength & Conditioning Association Athletic Lab has a long history of hosting major sport and coaching education events including the North American Strongman Championships, multiple USA Weightlifting North Carolina State Championships and certification events for USTFCCCA and USA Weightlifting.
