Athletic Lab resumes partnership with NC Elite Volleyball Club

This Sunday, Athletic Lab resumes their partnership with NC Elite Volleyball Club for the 2014-2015 season. NC Elite was founded in 2007 by experienced volleyball coaches with the objective of creating a competitive, fun and positive learning environment for participants. They strive to provide young athletes with affordable opportunities to enjoy and grow in the sport of volleyball. NC Elite offers Premier, National, Regional-Plus, Regional-Only, Satellite and Developmental teams and programs. This is the second year Athletic Lab will be providing training for the NC Elite's top players. NC Elite is one of the most competitive volleyball club in the country and can boast multiple Division 1 scholarship signings in the past several months alone. We're very excited to be working with NC Elite again. They achieved tremendous success in 2014 and we're proud to have been a part of that. NC Elite is one of the top sports clubs in the area boasting incredible athletes and fielding nationally competitive teams. They're helping to prepare student-athletes for excellence in volleyball through advanced physical training and education in the sport. It's amazing to see the confidence and sense of accomplishment their athletes build by being part of something successful like NC Elite. They have amazing coaches and everyone in the organization is top-class. NC Elite makes big jumps with Athletic Lab

NC Elite Volleyball club is one of the top girls volleyball clubs in the country. NC Elite was founded in 2007 by experienced volleyball coaches with the objective of creating a competitive, fun and positive learning environment for participants. They strive to provide young athletes with affordable opportunities to enjoy and grow in the sport of volleyball. Athletic Lab is proud to have provided sports performance training to their elite teams for the 2013-2014 season in which NC Elite sent 14 teams to the AAU National Championships. Just prior to the National Championship, end-of-season physical testing was conducted and the results were staggering. Here's a sample of the results from this final testing: Vertical Jump: 91% of our student athlete's increased their vertical jump. Highest increases: Raven Jordan (18B)- increased 7.5inches, Gabby Romero (15C)- increased 5.5inches, Catherine Grifith (17B)- increased 5inches Half Court, There and Back As a club we went from 5.45 seconds and decreased to 4.98 Seconds. Total time lost .47 Seconds Fastest times: Raven Jordan (18B)- 3.33 Seconds, Sydney Holland (18B)- 3.33 Seconds, and Anna Moss (17 B)-4.34 Seconds Over Head Throw 94% of our Student Athletes saw an increase their Over Head Throw Top athletes in their over head throw: Sydney Holland (18B) 28.6, Raven Jordan (18B) 25.8, and Shelby Raymond (18B) 23.6 To read the full writeup, click here.

NC Elite Volleyball Ends Season on a High

NC Elite Volleyball capped of the 2013-14 season with huge success. The Atlantic Coast Power League (ACPL) Championships were held in Virginia Beach and Norfolk May 3-4th. NC Elite had some of the top finishes in the tournament: 17 Black won the ACPL Championship in dramatic fashion coming from a 0-6 deficit in the third set to defeat NVVA for the championship. 16 Black finished second. 15 Black and 18 Black finished third in their playoffs. 14 Black finished 6th. (NC Elite - 17 Black) Along with the top team performances, NC Elite had some great individual play. NC Elite had seven players selected to the All Tournament Team in their respective tournaments. 15 Black - Gentry Benda 16 Black - Mackenzi Thornburg & Maredith Devlin 17 Black - Mackenzie Reaves, Anna Moss & Carmen Sigmon 18 Black - Rachel Kinsey Excellent work ladies. We're very proud of what you have accomplished this season. Athletic Lab provided pre-season and in-season strength and conditioning to eight of NC Elite Volleyball's Premier and National teams for the 2013-2014 season
