Mike Young presents at NSCA North Carolina State Clinic
Athletic Lab's Mike Young, PhD, was an invited speaker at the 2026 North Carolina National Strength and Conditioning Association Conference. The conference took place in Wilmington, NC on April 18, 2026. The conference featured speakers from around the region and was attended by almost 200 coaches, sport scientists and physiotherapists. Mike provided a workshop titled "Training True Agility: Progressing Beyond Cones into Chaos." The presentation marks the 7th presentation Mike has delivered for the NSCA. Mike is Athletic Lab's Director of Performance and also serves as the Senior Director of Performance and Science for the North Carolina Courage. The NSCA is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning and related sport science professions around the world. The NSCA exists to empower a community of professionals to maximize their impact through disseminating evidence-based knowledge and its practical application by offering industry-leading certifications, research journals, career development services, networking opportunities, and continuing education.
