Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team at 2026 Nationals

Five members of the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team recently competed in the 2025 USA Weightlifting National Championships. The meet was held in Colorado Springs, CO. Below are the results of each lifter for the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team. Overall, the team brought home three medals, three top 10 finishers, 1 National Champion, and multiple meet personal records. Tim Neal wins Weightlifting National Championship

Congratulations to Tim Neal on an outstanding performance at the USA Weightlifting Junior National Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado earlier this month, where he earned a gold medal in one of the nation's most competitive junior divisions. Tim is a long time member of the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team coached by USA Weightlifting National Coach Jarrod Nobbe. Weightlifting National Championships Week brings together the country's top youth, junior, U25, and senior lifters, making every medal hard-earned. Tim rose to the challenge with a personal record in the clean & jerk to secure the top spot on the podium. Congratulations, Tim on becoming a USA Weightlifting Junior National Champion! We are incredibly proud of your accomplishment and look forward to seeing what comes next as you continue to represent Athletic Lab on the national stage.

Wakeland Branz, Tim Neal and Eva Young – August Members of the Month

For the month of August we've selected Wakeland Branz, Tim Neal and Eva Young as our Members of the Month. These three outstanding individuals qualified and competed at the USA Weightlifting National Championships. All three athletes are members of the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team. The team is led by USA Weightlifting National Coach Jarrod Nobbe, MS.  The club is recognized as an official Weightlifting Club by USA Weightlifting. We rank among the very best in the region and our athletes compete at the local, national and international levels. At the event, the three youth athletes had strong showings. Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team wins 5 National Championship Medals

Athletic Lab Weightlifting's Eva Young at the 2024 USA Weightlifting National Championships Six members of the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team recently competed 2024 USA Weightlifting National Championships. The meet was held in Pittsburgh, PA. The event is the largest national event on the USA Weightlifting calendar. The meet brought together the best weightlifters from the United States. Below are the results of each lifter for the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team. The team had an almost 90% successful lift rate (30/36) and brought home 5 medals (2 silver, 3 bronze). This week-long event, that ran from June 25 until July 2, consisted of Youth, Junior U23, U25, and Senior National championships. 2023 Winter Weightlifting Classic Results

 Athletic Lab hosted their first weightlifting meet of 2023. The USA Weightlifting sanctioned event featured competitors from across North Carolina and surrounding states. Special thanks to our meet sponsors: Sorinex Teambuildr WCC Cafe Yerbaé Returning athletes and new faces alike shared the platform looking for personal bests and qualifying totals. Athletic Lab is proud to allow athletes of all ages and abilities to compete in well organized and smoothly run sanctioned meets. We take pride in doing our part in fueling a strong culture of weightlifting in the Southeast region. Athletic Lab has a long history of success in the sport of weightlifting. We boast one of the largest and most competitive teams in the region with dedicated space and equipment to support our team. Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team Shines at USA Weightlifting North American Open Finals

This past week the Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team made the trip to Atlanta, GA to compete in the North American Open Finals. The meet was the last National Meet of the calendar year. The 4 day competitions spanned Thursday, December 1st through Sunday, December 4th. The competition consisted of the top weightlifters in North America. Eva Young wins USA Weightlifting High School Throwdown

Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team's Eva Young was recently recognized as one of the "strongest high school athletes in America" by USA Weightlifting. This fall, high school athletes from every state and weight class were invited to participate in the "High School Throwdown." The annual event is put on by USA Weightlifting and sponsored by Caffeine & Kilos. The free virtual event allowed athletes - ages 13 to 18 of any weight class. The competition was designed to measure how high school athletes measured up against their peers in the weight room. Athletes contested the Bench Press, the Back Squat, and a Full or Power Clean. The winner of each division was the athlete with the highest combined weight lifted. Athletic Lab Weightlifting Team's Eva Young won the girls 55kg class.
